چکیده
O artigo pretende demonstrar o papel e os usos do comportamento animal nas relações de missão feitas pelos missionários franceses Claude d’Abbeville (15? -1632) Yves d'Évreux (1570-1632), que atuaram na conversão dos indígenas tupinambá ao longo da experiência colonial intitulada França Equinocial, no Maranhão, entre 1612 1615. A análise reflete sobre a conexão as categorias selvagem doméstico, considerando suas associações com ideias monstruosidade início Época Moderna. Um aspectos importantes é exame das aproximações distanciamentos feitos aqui estudados animais humanos.
